What is your idea of a perfect day?

My idea of a perfect day is relaxing with my family, watching movies or having a barbecue, or just a simple conversation while I'm making dinner.

What's your greatest fear?

I would have to say my greatest fear is drowning.

What's on your bucket list?

A drive on the West Coast with my daughter and husband.

Talk about a time you cried.

Recently when my Aunt Dora passed away.

If you could go back in time, where would you go?

I would go back to 1984 to give my maternal grandmother one more kiss and hug before she passed away.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a lawyer, because I was the best at arguing.

Can you offer any advice?

Never judge someone by the opinion of others.

What would you do with a million dollars?

I would work on my bucket list, help out my family financially and give to charity, not necessarily in that order.

Where do you go to feel safe?

Home. Regardless of the day I've had, being home will always be my safe haven.

What do you pray about?

I pray for patience ... lots of patience.

What's your favorite inspirational quote?

Forgive others, not because they deserve forgiveness, but because you deserve peace.

Who is/was your favorite teacher? And why?

My favorite teacher was Ms. Lucy Nials. She was my home economics teacher in high school. I learned a lot about cooking and learned to sew.

What was your first experience with death?

We went water rafting a few years ago, and I fell off the raft.

Talk about your spouse.

My husband is Leif Gray. He's co-owner of Quality Lube & Tire. He's hardworking, helpful and is a caring man. He's a great husband and a great father.

Talk about your sibling(s).

I have a younger sister, Carol Rayos. She's definitely got all the patience that I have prayed for. She has five awesome children. She's a great mom and hardworking.

I have an older brother, Bernie Hernandez. He's the funny one, always laughing, always happy. He loves hanging out with his granddaughters, Nevaeh and Maribel.

Talk about your children.

I have one daughter. Her name is Gabby. She's a freshman in high school. She loves to make people laugh, and she's good at it. She's my pride and joy.
