Senior Olympians prepare for meet

Quay County Senior Olympics will have a competition in track events, soccer kick, frisbee throw and baseball throw 4 p.m. May 28 at the Tucumcari High School track field.
The air gun competition will be 3 p.m. June 5 at the Quay County Fair Barn.
Senior Olympics is committed to provide senior adults, age 50 and up, with opportunities for healthy and active lifestyles. Senior Olympics promotes year-round programs that encourage seniors to participate in physical, mental and social programs. Seniors participate within their own age category and level of ability in athletic, recreational and social events
The 2003 New Mexico Senior Olympic State Games will be Aug. 6-10 in Las Cruces. TO compete at the state level, athletes must first qualify at their local Senior Olympic games. Anyone age 50 or above is eligible to participate in the local games. You don’t quit playing because you get old. You get old because you quit playing.
