Lena Luvany Davidson Buttram Newman

Lena Luvany Davidson Buttram Newman, 90, died Friday, July 11, 2003, at the Albuquerque Manor.
The daughter of Carlton and Elizabeth L. Rector Davidson, she was born April 18, 1913, at Plain.
She married Avis Artie Buttram on Oct. 1, 1927, in Texas.
Living in Forrest, they raised four children. Avis died in 1948. She later married Curtis George Newman and the two raised their son, George Curtis Newman, in Tucumcari.
She spent her life in Forrest and Tucumcari working as a sales clerk.
She is survived by her children: Arlie F. Allen, Philip A. Buttram, Neil O. Buttram and George C. Newman; brothers: John Clint Davidson, Lester G. Davidson, James E. Davidson and Clarence A. “Dave” Davidson; a sister: Ima Jean Roady; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Betty Lou Kelly and a sister: Daisy B. Givens.
Memorial services were July 17 in Albuquerque.
