Mesalands Community College’s Rodeo Team completed the 2003 fall season at Lubbock with room for improvement when the spring season starts.

Chance Towner finished with a 9th place in the Saddle Bronc out of 48 competitors in the long round. But things didn’t go his way in the short round when he was bucked off.
Bull Rider Marcus Young finished 4th out of 86 riders in the long round but broke his leg at the end of his short round ride.

“When you see the number of competitors in each event and the times our team members are making in these events, you can appreciate how tough the competition is out there,” said Coach Danny Garcia. “But we have a young team that continues to show improvement, so the future holds a lot of promise.”
