Beatrice A. Lujan, 84, died in Tucumcari early Wednesday, March 10, 2004, following an extended illness.
Beatrice Lujan was born Sept. 3, 1919 in Trujillo. She had been a homemaker and a member of the San Antonio Catholic Church of Logan.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Pat Gallegos, Placido Gallegos and Tony Roybal and one sister Eufracia Gallegos.
She is survived by nine daughters: Lucy Montano (Joe) of Tucumcari, Corrine Church of Logan, Carolyn Garcia (Steve) of Logan, Josephine Cordova (George) of Logan, Linda Baca (Victor) of Portales, Mary Kindall (Rich) of Logan, Phyllis Lujan of Logan, Lucinda Roybal (Larry) of Tucumcari and Ana Trujillo (Tom) of Cuba.
She is also survived by five sons: Patricio Lujan of Roswell, Manuel Lujan (Cindy) of Logan, Moises Lujan Jr. of Rocky Ford, Colo., Gene Lujan of Logan and Phillip Lujan (Veronica) of Logan.
She is also survived by two sisters Eva Salas and Celina Padia, both of Arizona and one brother Gilberto Gallegos of Texas. She was also survived by numerous grand and great grandchildren.
Rosary was said on Friday at St. Anne’s Catholic Church and a Mass of Resurrection was offered on Saturday morning at St. Anne’s with the Rev. Fr. Leo Padget as celebrant. Burial was in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
