Shroud at St. Anne’s

St. Anne Catholic Parish in Tucumcari will be the center for an evening presentation featuring life-size replicas of the Shroud of Turin, Our Lady of Guadalupe and the original “Divine Mercy image” from Vilnius, Lithuania.

The traveling exhibit and speaker presentation is being offered by Life Foundation Ministries, a missionary team based in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, and a Lay Pastoral Outreach of the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City which travels throughout the United States, Mexico and abroad.

The presentation includes visual effects and the music of Rev. Jim McKearney of the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome and Marty Rotella, an international singer, songwriter and musician. Current presentations are scheduled throughout the Archdiocese of Santa Fe and Las Cruces during Lent.

Jim Humpal, executive director of Life Foundation who recently returned from Mexico City with presentations scheduled countrywide said “Everyone knows about the Shroud of Turin, Our Lady of Guadalupe, and Divine Mercy. What is going to be presented in Tucumcari could be the missing link to bring the Mercy of God to all faiths.”

The local presentation will be Monday, March 22 following the 5:30 p.m. mass. The presentation is approximately one hour and is designed for the whole family. For more information call the Parish at (505) 461-2515 or Ruby Romero at (505) 461-1622.
