Recently area law enforcement personnel were honored by the DWI organization with their Law Enforcement Appreciation Night.
The organization honored 20 officers from the New Mexico State Police, the Tucumcari Police Department and the Logan Police Force.and the Motor transportation division.
New Mexico State Police receiving certificates of appreciation for DWI included – Paul Bell, Chester Bobbit, Andy Baldrige, David O’Leary, Steve Chacon, Rigo Chavarria and Steve Sparks-Spear.
Tucumcari Police Department Officers receiving certificates of appreciation for DWI included – Charlie Aguirre, Darrick Shaw, Jason Braziel, Patricia Earle, Patty Lopez, Jason Adams, Shane Strand, Pete Rivera, Pedro Bolin, Shane Collins and Jack Hendrickson.
The Logan Police Department officer receiving a certificate of appreciation was Bob Gore.
The Motor Transportation Division member receiving a certificatate of appreciation was Cornell Evens.
Tucumcari Police Department Officers receiving certificates of excellence for Minor in Possession apprehension included: Charlie Aguire, Pedro Bolin, Jason Braziel, Jonathon Howard and Patricia Earle.
New Mexico State Police Officers Receiving certificates of excellence for Minor in Possession apprehension included: Paul Bell, Chester Bobbit, David O’Leary and Brian Panebouef.
One officer from the state police and the TPD each was named officer of the year for his respecitive department. Brian PaneBouef was named officer of the year for the state police and Jonathon Howard was named for the TPD.
Representatives from Mothers against Drunk Drivers also gave their “Deuce” Award which honors officers with 10 or more alcohol related arrests to three area officers. The three were Panebouef from the state police and Howard and Darrick Shaw from the police department.
