Bill Curry, a life-long resident of Quay County and a graduate of Tucumcari High School announced his candidacy for Quay County Commission, District 2 recently.
Curry was raised on the Curry Ranch west of Tucumcari near Palomas. His work experience in Quay County includes eight years as the city engineer for the City of Tucumcari, 21 years working in banks and savings and loans, 20 years owning and operating the Sundowner Gallery with his wife Juanita and many years as a Quay County rancher.
Curry served 23 years in the U.S. Army Reserve and New Mexico National Guard during which time he was an officer and battery commander. “I am most concerned about water, the environment, our hospital and energy development; both wind power and natural gas,” said Curry
