Leo G. Dean
Leo G. Dean, 84, died June 4, 2004 in Albuquerque.
Leo Dean was born in Clovis on Dec. 6, 1919 and lived in Tucumcari from then until 1958. He married his wife Effie Aug. 22, 1941. He served in the army during World War II as a paratrooper.
He was preceded in death by his wife.
He is survived by two daughters Ruth Dean of New Braunfils, Texas and Judy Ortega of Murphy, Texas.
He is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation was Tuesday in Albuquerque. Services were this morning (Wednesday) at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Tucumcari. Burial followed at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
Matthew Albert Gower
Matthew Albert Gower, 53, died June 5, 2004 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Stephenville, Texas.
Matthew Gower was born July 15, 1950 in Dallas. He was the owner of the Trinity Family Conseling Service in Dublin, Texas. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1972-1976. He married Kathryn Connell Feb. 14, 1979. He was a member of the Cottonwood Baptist Church in Dublin.
He was preceded in death by his wife in May 2000.
He is survived by his mother Helen Gower of Dublin; two daughters, Jennifer Gallegos (Phil) of Tucumcari and Tara Gower of Dublin; one son, Matthew Gower Jr. of Dublin; one brother, Robert Gower of Austin; and one sister, Ginger Roberts of Rowlett, Texas.
He is also survived by two grandsons of Tucumcari and numerous nephews and nieces.
Gower was cremated.
