Carnival coming to city

Sun Valley Rides will be returning to Tucumcari for a fourth year and will be providing rides at the Quay County Fair Wednesday, Aug. 17 through Saturday, Aug. 21 beginning at 5 p.m.

According to Quay County Home Extension agent Brenda Bishop, the carnival will have a variety of rides for all ages.  An all day ride pass will be $23 at the carnival and they will also sell books of tickets.

“This is the same carnival as last year,” said Bishop, “which had many great rides that were in good condition.
Bishop said Sun Valley Rides has added the “Himalaya” to their ride selection for 2004.

The Quay County Fair Board is selling all day ride tickets in advance for $13 a savings of $10 per ticket. Bishop said the reduced-priced tickets will be on sale until August 17 at 3 p.m.

Tickets are available at the Quay County Extension Office, Bob’s Budget Pharmacy, Southwest Mercantile, and Bits, Spurs, Gifts, and Things in Logan.
