James L. Cargile
James L. Cargile, 61, of Logan, died at Daniel C. Trigg Memorial Hospital Tuesday morning Dec. 7, 2004.
James Cargile was born Aug. 28, 1943 in Lockney, Texas. At the time of his death, he had been a mechanic and truck driver for Bruhn Enterprises in Logan. He was a member of the Ocelot Neighborhood Association.
He was preceded in death by two children, by his parents Hulin and Lorain Cargile and by a brother Edward Cargile.
He is survived by his wife Sheri Cargile of Logan; two sons, H.P. Cargile (Kristi) of Plains, Texas and Bob Johnson (Libby) of Phoenix; two daughters, Dawn Adams (Barry) of Komah, Texas and Devonna Perot (Louie) of Oracle, Ariz; three brothers Woodrow Cargile of Corpus Christi, Texas, Gary Cargile of Decatur, Texas and Freddie Cargile of Kimball, Neb.
He is also survived by four grandchildren.
A memorial service was conducted Friday afternoon at the Logan Methodist Church. Following his wishes James Cargile was cremated.

Denise Coulter Carter
Denise Coulter Carter, 62, formerly of Tucumcari died in Henderson, Nev. Friday Nov. 26, 2004 following an extended illness.
She was born in Tucumcari, April 12, 1942.
She is survived by her mother Phyllis “Dee” Coulter of Tucumcari; her husband Terrill Carter of Belmont N.C.; a son Rick Stevens (Tracy) of Belmont, a daughter Lindy Hutchinson (Scott) of Las Vegas, Nev.; a step-son Scott Carter of Gastonia, N.C.; a sister Nova Skidmore and a brother Raymond Coulter.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, one great-grandson and numerous nephews and nieces.
A memorial service was today (Saturday) at the Trinity Baptist Church at 11 a.m. At her request she was cremated and the cremains will be interred in a private committal service this afternoon.

E.H. Hawkins
E.H. Hawkins, 92, died at Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004 following an extended illness.
E.H. Hawkins was born July 2, 1912 in La Lende. He had founded and pastored the Grace Tabernacle in Tucumcari. He built the church in the early 1950s our of rock and the church is still standing today.
He was preceded in death by his wife Eddie Mae Hawkins on March 2, 1997.
He is survived by his daughter Cheri Bourne of Kansas City, Missouri; his son Marvin Evans of Los Lunas and a daughter-in-law Betty Hawkins of Bentonville, Ark. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday morning at the Dunn Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Gene Hawkins and the Rev Jim Witcher officiating Burial followed at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.

Theresa B. Paulson
Theresa B. Paulson, 89, died at Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospital in Amarillo on Sunday evening, Dec. 5 following an extended illness.
Theresa Paulson was born Aug. 3, 1918 in Ashland, Wis. She has been a resident of Tucumcari for 85 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Tucumcari. She had been a retail sales clerk at the Turner Store, C.R. Anthony, the United Store and at the J.C. Penny Store and retired from the Tucumcari Truck Terminal where she had been the cashier.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Paulson and by a son, Robert Paulson.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristine Husman of Tucumcari and her son, Joseph Paulson of Garden City, Kan. She is also survived 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Tucumcari with the Rev. Iola Allender officiating. Interment will follow at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
