Cody Spiva and Sterling Via (South Plains College) finished in 10th place in the long round but did not place in the short round. Brian Evans and Jeffery Robertson finished the long round splitting third and fourth place, then took fifth place in the short round and fifth place average.

Other close contenders from Mesalands included Lorenzo Rincon who finished 14th out of 128 calf ropers in the long round and Chase Pope who finished 13th out of the 82 competitors in steer wrestling. Coach Danny Garcia said that he expects most of the team to return for the spring season.
