Police blotter
The following is a sampling of calls received by Tucumcari police during the past week.
According to the reports:
March 8
€ About 10 a.m. a woman in the 900 block of East Hancock Avenue reported vandalism to her vehicle. An officer advised four tires were cut on the vehicle.
March 7
€ About 8:30 a.m. a man in the 2100 block of South Sixth Street reported a radiator and carburetor stolen off his 1957 Chevy.
March 6
€ About 5 p.m. a woman in the 600 block of South Fourth Street reported her neighbor burning items within ten feet of her house. She said her home was filling up with smoke and her asthmatic child was having problems due to the smoke.
€ About 1 a.m. police made a traffic stop at Monroe Street and Route 66 Boulevard. A woman was subsequently arrested for possession of methamphetamine.
March 4
€ About 5 p.m. a woman in the 1700 block of South Sixth Street requested an officer in reference to harassment. An officer advised some juvenile boys were tormenting two girls.
March 3
€ A woman came into the police station and reported her boyfriend took her child and would not bring the child back. An officer spoke with the woman1s boyfriend. The boyfriend brought the child into the police station.
March 2
€ About 6:30 p.m. an employee of Lowe1s Grocery Store reported an unwanted subject in the store1s parking lot. A man was subsequently arrested and charged with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and littering.
€ About 5:30 p.m. a woman walked into the police station and said she was involved in a fight with a man who was known to her and pressed charges against him. The man was subsequently arrested and charged with assault and battery on a household member.
