Henry Joseph Gonzales

Henry Joseph Gonzales, 62, died on April 2, 2005 in Albuquerque following a brief illness.
Gonzales was born September 24, 1942 in Roswell. He was a long time resident of Tucumcari. He served in the United States Army National Guard, retiring as staff sergeant after 20 years. He was a member of St. Anne¹s Catholic Church. He was instrumental in developing the Bronze Foundry and the Traditional Iron Pour at Mesa Lands Community College where he was an assistant instructor for many years in the Bronze Foundry.
Survivors include his wife Helen of Tucumcari; three sons, Joe Gonzales of Texas, Henry Gonzales Jr. of Texas and Mike Gonzales of Albuquerque; six brothers, Raymond Gonzales of Portales, Mike Gonzales of El Paso, Richard Gonzales of Las Cruces, Paul Gonzales of Las Cruces, Charlie Gonzales of Las Cruces, and Danny Gonzales of Tucumcari; three sisters Rose of Santa Fe, Anita Simonian of New York City and Mary Uranga of Roswell; eight grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Rosary was planned for Tuesday evening at St. Anne¹s Catholic Church.
Mass of the Resurrection is at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anne¹s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Leo Padget as the celebrant. Pall bearers will be Mike Lucero, Ben Montano, Daniel Gonzales, Reyes Gonzales, Lucas Gonzales and Darin Gonzales. Burial will be in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
