Southwest Quay Soil Conservation District meeting — 7 p.m.

Swearing-in Ceremony of Robert Roark as the new Postmaster of Tucumcari — 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Tucumcari Post office, 220 S. First St. Refreshments will be served.
Earth Day Activities —8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Tucumcari Elementary School and sixth grade student at the Tucumcari Outdoor Classroom, north of Tucumcari Elementary School.
Banjo Snake Appalachian and Celtic Music Concert — 7 p.m. at Tucumcari High School Auditorium. Information: 461-9679
The Missoula Children’s Theatre and the student body of Mosquero Municipal Schools will present an original musical adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s classic, “The Jungle Book,” at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tickets are $2 for adults and $1 for students.

Keep Tucumcari Beautiful — in conjunction with the Great American Clean-up beginning at 9 a.m. at the Chamber of Commerce. Information: Yvette at 461-2143

Logan-Ute Lake Chamber Chuck Wagon Cook-Off — Ute Lake State Park. Competitors work from authentic chuck wagons and cook in the 1880s cattle drives. Information: 505-487-2722

l May 3 — The Maternal, Child and Community Health Council and the DWI office will hold a joint meeting at 11 a.m. in the back area at Bambino’s. District Attorney Ron Reeves will be the guest speaker.
Questions for Reeves must be submitted to the DWI office by April 25.
