4/27 Police Blotter

The following is a sampling of calls received by Tucumcari Police during the past several days.
According to the reports:
April 25
• About 11:30 p.m. a woman in the 200 block of East Max Avenue called in reference to a suspicious male subject knocking on her door and yelling. She advised the subject got into a vehicle and “drove off at a high rate of speed.” Officers failed to find the subject.
• About 11:30 a.m. an employee of Tucumcari High School reported that an equipment room at the football stadium had been broken into. Nothing was reported stolen.
• About 11 a.m. a woman called from Kiva RV Park and reported that drug paraphernalia was found at the park. An officer advised that a pipe had been found.
April 24
• A woman reported an erratic driver in the vicinity of Mountain Road and East Route 66 Boulevard. An officer found the driver and advised him to “use more caution on the roadways.”
April 23
• A woman in the 600 block of South Adams called in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Officers arrested two men for possession of marijuana, less than one ounce.
• About 12:30 p.m. a woman called in reference to a subject with a gun at the Tucumcari softball field. An officer arrived and located the subject, asking the subject to produce the gun. The officer advised that it was a toy gun.
• About 9 a.m. a woman called from Smoker’s Discount on West Route 66 Boulevard in reference to oil that had been poured on a wall of the building. The woman subsequently requested that officers inform a man who was known to her that he was no longer to come onto the premises or make any more calls to her.
