Police Blotter, June 15

The following is a sampling of calls received by Tucumcari Police during the past several days.
According to the reports:
Monday
• About 7:30 a.m., a computer was reported taken from Versatile Construction.
• About 4 a.m., an employee of Hampton Inn called in reference to a suspicious subject. The subject was later issued a bus voucher to Amarillo.
Sunday
• An employee of Quay County Detention Center reported that a man visiting an inmate had a magistrate warrant out for his arrest. The man was subsequently placed under arrest.
• About 1 a.m., a woman at Quay Apartments said she left her laundry in the building’s laundry room and when she returned it was gone.
Saturday
• About 6:30 p.m., a man called to report a male driving a Chevy pickup behind the VFW Post with a female “hanging out the passenger side.” The driver was arrested for driving on a suspended license.
• About 4 a.m., a man in the 1000 block of South Monroe Street reported the back windshield of his truck was broken.
Friday
• About 3:15 p.m., the operator of America’s Best Value Inn on East Route 66 Boulevard reported that three registered guests had invited friends to stay in their rooms without registering. The motel operator reported that the unregistered guests were “causing a disturbance in the pool area.” The subjects were told to register or leave.
• About 10:30 a.m., a woman called to report a dog loose in sheep pens in the vicinity of Maple Avenue and South Rock Island Avenue. The woman reported the dog killed six sheep. A family member of the woman shot and killed the dog.
