June 29 Police Blotter

The following is a sampling of calls received by the Tucumcari Police Department during the past several days. According to the reports:
Monday
• About 8:30 p.m., a woman in the 700 block of West Evans Avenue reported a stolen bicycle taken some time on June 25.
• About noon, a man called in reference to a male subject in the road at Dawson Street and Main Street. Officers advised the male subject to move on.
• About 11:30 a.m., a man was arrested for shoplifting at Lowe’s Grocery Store.
• About 3 a.m., a woman requested officers in reference to a prowler in the 300 block of East Turner Avenue. She described the prowler as “bald, wearing a white T-shirt and jeans.”
Sunday
• About 6 p.m., a man was reported standing in the street and yelling in the 600 block of South Fifth Street. Officers arrived and advised the man was just singing and asked him to “keep it down.”
• About 8 a.m., a female inmate of Quay County Detention Center was served a magistrate warrant out of Texas for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
