Ruth Leger Terry
Ruth Leger Terry of McAlister, N.M., died on Wednesday, July 13, 2005, with her daughter and granddaughter at her side. She was born in Isador, N.M., to Francisco and Isabel Leger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first and second husbands, Frank Martinez and Flavious Terry; her grandson, Mark Burmeister; her nephew Gilbert Baca; and her brothers and sisters, Eloisa Leger Baca, Tony Leger, Louise Leger, Isabel Leger, Frank Leger, Pat Leger, and James Leger. 
She is survived by her daughter, Georgia Burmeister; grandchildren Karl Burmeister and Janel Burmeister (and husband, Charles Ingram); great grandchildren, Charlie and Eloisa Ingram; her brothers and sisters, Joanne Lovato, Mary Lou Anaya, Ernest Leger (Gloria), Nash Leger (Anita), Richard Leger (Mary Lou); her sisters-in-law, Josephine Leger, Mela Leger and Esther Leger; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 
Her family said she led a long and fruitful life and was many things to many people: a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, a faithful churchgoer, a successful business owner; a dedicated wife and partner. 
They said she leaves behind a legacy of strength, perseverance, a strong will in adversity, and strong family and religious values. They said she was a vital part of the family she loved and cherished, and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. 
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Monday at the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. on Tuesday at San Ysidro Church, in Corrales, N.M. Interment will follow the in the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. 
Pallbearers will be Nick Leger, Bobbie Leger, Dennis Anaya, Steve Baca, Charles Ingram and Gilbert Gutierrez. Honorary bearers will be Joanne Lovato, Ray Leger, Nash Leger, Mary Lou Anaya, Ernest Leger and Richard Leger. 
Arrangements were by Alameda Mortuary in Albuquerque.

Juan W. Sandoval
Juan Sandoval, 65, of Tucumcari died Thursday, July 14, 2005, at Trigg Memorial Hospital of Tucumcari.
He was born June 24, 1937, in Mosquero to Juan and Carolina Sandoval. He had been an active member of the St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Tucumcari. He was retired from the Tucumcari public schools where he had been a custodian for many years. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard for 25 years attaining the rank of sgt. He was a long-time active member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandchild and two great-grandsons.
He is survived by his wife Lucy Albina Sandoval; one son, Ben Sandoval (and wife, Jaye) of Tucumcari; three daughters, Carol Corbin of Tucumcari, Dorothy Martinez (Jerry) of Las Vegas, N.M., and Juanita Telles (Gilbert) of Los Lunas, N.M.; six sisters, Josie Martinez, Mary Uribe, Mary Stella Montiel (Angel), all of Tucumcari, Viola Pacheco of La Puenta, Calif., Dora Chacon of El Monte, Calif., and Adelina Cruz of Amarillo, Texas; two brothers, Vicente Sandoval (Julia) of Tucumcari and Sammy Sandoval of Amarillo, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday in St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at 10 a.m. on Monday in the St. Anne’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Leo Padget as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
