Monday — The Board of Quay County Commissioners will hold a workshop in the Commission Chambers at the Quay County Court House, 300 S. 3rd St., at 1:30 p.m. to discuss the Quay County Detention Center.
Monday — The San Jon Board of Education will hold their regular monthly meeting in the ITV Room at 6 p.m.

Aug. 13 — Tucumcari Historical Research Institute will have a field trip for members to Colonias, 16 miles northwest of Santa Rosa on the Anton Chico Land Grant. Leave at 8 a.m. from the Tucumcari Historical Museum at 416 S. Adams. Bring a picnic lunch for the park or plan to eat at a cafe or drive-in at Santa Rosa at noon.
