Monday — Tucumcari Public Schools Board of Education will meet Monday in the Administration Conference Room, 2400 S. 8th St., at 6 p.m.
Monday — The San Jon Board of Education will hold a regular meeting in the ITV Room at 6 p.m.
Monday — The House Board of Education will hold a regular meeting in the school library at 7 p.m.
Monday — The Canadian River Soil and Water Conservation District will hold its regular meeting in the conference room of the Natural Resource Conservation Service at 706 South First Street in Tucumcari at 7 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.
Tuesday — Chamber Luncheon hosted by Tucumcari Schools Credit Union at Denny’s Restaurant at noon will feature David Buchen, Director of the Small Business Development Center at Mesalands Community College. The public is welcome to attend. For more information, call the Chamber at 461-1694.
Tuesday —The Mesalands Community College Board of Trustees will meet in Building A, Room 214 at 5:30 p.m.

Fridays ongoing — Thank God It’s Friday (TGIF) is provided for students K-5th grade on Fridays when there is no school in Tucumcari and no scheduled holiday. Friday through Sept. 25 — The 13th annual Nara Visa Cowboy Poetry Gathering at the Nara Visa Community Center. Children’s program and evening program on Sept. 23; chuck wagon breakfast, outdoor poetry, evening program and dance on Sept. 24; breakfast and cowboy church Sept. 25. Sept. 28 — 13th annual Rotary Air Show, rated third best in the country, features Canadian Air Force Snowbirds, USAF A-10’s, helicopter stunts, barnstorming acrobatics, Greg Poe Air Show, Eric Beard’s Yak 54 Russian Thunder, the world’s only twin jet sailplane and a display of 40 aircraft. Gates open at 10 a.m. and shows start at noon; show includes food and merchandise vendors. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students, and free for kids 5 and under. The Rotary Air Show is located at the Tucumcari Municipal Airport, 6325 Quay Rd. Al. Call 461-1200 or 461-2710 for more information.
