Today — 13th annual Rotary Air Show, rated third best in the country, features Canadian Air Force Snowbirds, USAF A-10’s, helicopter stunts, barnstorming acrobatics, Greg Poe Air Show, Eric Beard’s Yak 54 Russian Thunder, the world’s only twin jet sailplane and a display of 40 aircraft. Gates open at 10 a.m. and shows start at noon; show includes food and merchandise vendors. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students, and free for kids 5 and under. Today — Quay County Courthouse will be closing at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2005, due to the Rotary Air Show. Regular business hours will resume on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2005.
Wednesdays and Fridays ongoing — “La Voz” Hispanic radio program airs on KTNM 1400 AM radio on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 to 10 p.m.
Friday — Concert in the Courtyard features Jared Young playing Radio Rock in the Mesalands Community College Courtyard beginning at 7 p.m. This is a fund raiser for the Mesalands Bronze Foundry, and a $5 donation will be accepted. Third Mondays ongoing — The Canadian River Soil and Water Conservation District will hold its regular meeting in the conference room of the Natural Resource Conservation Service at 706 S. 1st S. in Tucumcari at 7 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.
