10/22 Police blotter

The following is a sampling of calls received by the Tucumcari police during the past several days.
According to the reports:

Tuesday

At 1:52 a.m., an unknown caller reported shots fired on East Heman. Police found none.

At 10:17 a.m., a female called to report a dispute at a local charity. Police arrived to remove one subject.

At 10:43 a.m., a male reported a fight in the high school gym. Police on the scene did not locate any such thing.

At 10:45 a.m., a male called to report embezzlement at a supermarket. A report was filed with police.

At 10:58 a.m., an unknown male reported an unwanted subject at a local bar. Police arrived to find the subject was leaving anyway.

At 11:22 a.m., a female called to report a hit and run at a supermarket. Police on the scene found the female’s car had been hit by another car that took off. Her information was recorded.

At 3:11 p.m., a male called to report damage to property on South Second. Police arrived to find a window shot out with a BB gun.

At 3:29 p.m., a male called to report shots fired on East Hines. Police on the scene were unable to locate a firearm, a subject or any spent casings.

At 4:15 p.m., a female reported a breaking and entering that had already occurred on South Third. Police arrived to find a television and stereo had been damaged.

At 9:34 p.m., an unknown female reported an unwanted subject at a convenience store. Police on the scene told the subject to move on.

At 9:56 p.m., a car stopped on Ninth Street led to the arrest of a male for an open container and a citation issued to a female for no insurance.

Wednesday

At 12:27 a.m., a car stopped on Rock Island led to the arrest of a male on a municipal warrant.

At 3:35 a.m., a possible prowler was reported on East Aber. Police on the scene found none.

At 6:33 a.m., a female called to report domestic violence at a motel. Police arrived and transported the female to the station, where the chaplain and her doctor were contacted.

At 11:44 a.m., a female reported a fight that had already occurred at the high school.

At 12:42 p.m., a female reported an unattended death on Washington. Police arrived to find an unresponsive subject. The emergency workers, chaplain and funeral home were contacted.

At 5:27 p.m., a female reported problems with juveniles stealing alcohol from a local supermarket. Police arrived to find one juvenile fled the scene while the other was taken to the manager’s office, gave up the bottle of alcohol and also fled. No identifications were made.

At 11:45 p.m., the Corpus Christi Police Department alerted the Tucumcari force to be on the lookout for an abandoned juvenile. The former said the 15-year-old might be found at a neighborhood restaurant. Police combed the entire restaurant area and found no juvenile.

At 11:55 p.m., a suspicious vehicle was reported a local motel. Police on the scene found none.

Thursday

At 3:57 a.m., a female reported a breaking and entering in progress on South Eighth. Police were unable to locate a subject but put a special watch on the location for the night.

At 7:54 a.m., a female called to report vandalism on South Third. When police arrived all four tires on her vehicle had been damaged.
