12/17 Police blotter

The following is a sampling of calls received by the Tucumcari police during the past several days.
According to the reports:

Tuesday

At 10:16 p.m., a female reported vandalism at College and Route 66. Police arrived to find the tires slashed on her vehicle.

At 11:12 p.m., a male called to report trucks running behind an area restaurant. Police told the trucks to move on.

Wednesday

At 6:59 a.m., police received a report of an open door on a vehicle on South Fourth. Police on the scene said the owner had left it open accidentally the night before; all was OK.

At 9:56 a.m., an unknown female reported a hit and run at a local doctor’s office.

At 12:15 p.m., a car stopped near a supermarket resulted in the arrest of a subject for a suspended and revoked license.

At 12:29 p.m., a female reported vandalism on South Fourth. Police on the scene found the subjects next door had painted something near the fence and got paint on the fence. They told them to clean the fence.

At 5:38 p.m., a female called to report an unwanted subject who was kicking down her door on East Barnes. Police on the scene arrested the male subject for assault with a deadly weapon and criminal damage to property.

At 10:11 p.m., a male called to report trucks running behind an area restaurant. Police told the trucks to move on.

Thursday

At 12:59 a.m., an unknown male reported a drunk near a convenience store. Police on the scene found none.

At 3:31 a.m., an unknown male called to report a possible drunk driver near a convenience store. Police on the scene found none.

At 5:09 a.m., a call from Lifeline came from a location on South Fourth. Police arrived to find the subject was fine.

At 8:26 a.m., a female reported a breaking and entering on South Second. Police on the scene found neither a subject nor evidence of a break in.

At 12:50 p.m., a woman came into the police department with a report of domestic violence, saying she was being followed by a male. The male in question walked in to the department right after her; she filed a report.
