Jan. 23: “On the Road to Living Well with Diabetes” workshop will teach five tests and numbers needed to prevent complications from diabetes. Participants receive personal results of four tests. Two workshops will be held at the Extension Office in the basement of the Quay County Courthouse, first at 1 p.m. and again at 5:15 p.m. Participants must have diabetes to attend and must preregister for a time slot. Ongoing: The Bookmobile will run in January and March but will not be making any stops in February, according to a release from Rural Bookmobile East. The service automating its collection and will have a database that includes all Bookmobile collections and the Books-by-mail, the release stated. Call 461-1206 for details.

Educational activities, medical and dental care, nutritious meals and snacks, family assistance and special services for children with disabilities are provided at no charge to families.
