Local business people also get their day in Santa Fe when the Association of Commerce and Industry (ACI) holds its Business Day in Santa Fe on Jan. 24, according to a release from the Tucumcari/Quay County Chamber of Commerce.
Business Day will be preceded by a legislative reception on Jan. 23 and Thursday is the deadline to register for the events, the release said.
According to the ACI Web site, this is the prime time to discuss business issues with state legislative and administrative leaders.
Keynote speakers will include Gov. Bill Richardson along with other elected officials and business mavens while topics range from recruiting new business into the state to New Mexico’s budget surplus to energy issues, the Web site said.
The cost is $40 for Business Day in Santa Fe only; $20 for the Jan. 23 reception only and $60 for the two events combined, according to the chamber.
