Kate Griego, 80, of Clovis, died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006, following an extended illness in Clovis.
She was born Aug. 15, 1925, in Sambinoso. She had made her home in Clovis for many years due to health reasons. She was a member of the Guadalupe Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emilio Victor Griego; son, Jimmy; and daughter, Katherine.
Survivors include her sons, Joseph (and wife, Julie) of Bagwell, Texas, Max (Anne) of Santa Fe, Emilio Jr. (Margaret) of Clovis, Stanley (Stacy) of Clovis, Richard of Las Cruces and Travis Griego of Clovis.
Rev. Leo Padget officiated.
Pallbearers were Max Griego, Stanley Griego, Emilio Griego Jr., Joseph “Dee” Griego, Travis Griego and Danny Ellis.
Honorary pallbearers were Joseph and Max Griego.
Burial took place in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.

Bernice Quintana Hull died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, in Kingman, Ariz.
She was born in Newkirk on Jan. 17, 1933, to Santiago and Andrea Garcia Quintana.
She was an active member of the VFW Post 10386, American Legion Post 22, Eagles Post 3744, all of Kingman, Ariz., and AmVets Post 14 in Clovis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include her children Joseph (and wife, Cindy), Aline (Mike), Rene’ (Glenn), Andrew (Suzette), Ronnie, Donnie, Brenda, Brian (Natalie), Gary (Trish) and Eddie (Tess); brothers, Jimmy Quintana of Clovis and Manuel Quintana (Delores) of Las Cruces; 32 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Cremation will take place.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Çlovis.
Services: 2 p.m. today at St. Anne’s Catholic Church.
Adella Romero, 89, died in Pueblo,Colo.
She was born March 15, 1916, in Montoya, N.M. She was a longtime Tucumcari resident and member of the St. Anne’s Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Felipe Romero, who died Jan. 29, 1987.
She is survived by her children Gilbert, Pancho, Dunnie, Blas, Patsy and Sugar; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Fr. Leo Padget will serve as celebrant at the funeral mass; burial will follow in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
