Tax help available
Low-income people can get TAXHELP now through April 17 from a program offered by Eastern Plains Community Action Agency, according to a release from the organization.
TAXHELP is available from 10 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the release said, asking people bring their 2004 income tax forms to help ensure correct filing for 2005.
Web site for women in business
Women business owners and entrepreneurs can now instantly access information on MY BIZ for Women, a Web site full of government resources, according to a release from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
The release said information includes starting and growing a small business, gaining access to capital and contracting opportunities and links to other government agencies. The site can be found at www.SBA.gov/women.
