Water bills are due and payable the first of each month, with a $10 late charge penalty if payment is not received by the 21st.
If water service is disconnected, there will be an additional $25 fee to reconnect during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., and a $50 fee to reconnect on weekends, holidays and after 5 p.m. on weekdays.

A representative of Spatial Data Research (SR) is working at conducting address verifications to update the Emergency 911 database.

Tucumcari’s municipal election will be held on March 7 to fill the commissioner positions in districts four and five as well as the municipal judge position.
Qualified voters in districts four and five may cast their vote for Mary Mayfield, Keith Hayes or Lewis Martinez in district four or district five’s James Lafferty or Norma Jean Crellin.
Municipal judge is an at-large position and qualified voters in all districts may vote. The candidate for this position is Joe Dominguez.

The city of Tucumcari staff and elected officials continue to represent Tucumcari in positive force as they recently attended both the legislative reception and Business Day meeting in Santa Fe. They, along with county staff and elected officials, also represented the city and county at a recent Interstate Stream Commission meeting in Clovis.
