March 29, 2006 Police Blotter

The following is a sampling of calls received by Tucumcari police during the last few days. According to the reports:

Saturday

l At 12:29 a.m., a female reported a welfare check at Washington Street. A woman suspected a juvenile was riding a bike and it was too late. Officers advised it was a woman in her 20s.

l At 7:17 a.m., a male reported a dog bite at Fifth Street. A man requested animal control in reference to a dog biting his wife.

l At 4:42 p.m., a unknown female reported an unwanted subject at a grocery store. The subject was removed.

Sunday

l At 12:22 a.m., a woman reported a domestic disturbance at East Turner Street. A woman reported that her son and his girlfriend were fighting and officers could do anything necessary to enter her home.

l At 12:30 a.m., a male reported a possible assault at an apartment complex. A male advised officers that someone tried to assault him.

l At 8:03 p.m., a 911 call was terminated at a truck stop. An officer did not find the caller.

l At 8:19 p.m., a female reported a downed power line at Crutcher Street.

l At 9:08 p.m., a female reported a suspicious vehicle at Sixth Street. It was reported that the license plate was in the front and not the back. Caller asked the driver if they were OK and was told to leave.

Monday

l At 2:41 a.m., an officer reported vandalism at an auto body shop. Vandalism and burglary occurred and the officer requested backup.
