Grady to hold alumni meal
Grady’s annual Memorial Day and alumni meal will be May 28 at the Grady School Cafeteria from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The cost for the meal will be $7 a plate for adults and $3 for children from kindergarten through 12 years.
The cafeteria will open at 9 a.m. for visiting and coffee. All of the food will be prepared by Grady residents along with help from the junior class of Grady High School.
After the lunch, there will be an alumni and friends meeting in the gym to discuss the school and the group’s scholarship fund.

Commission meeting rescheduled
The Quay County Commission meeting scheduled for May 22 has been rescheduled for May 19. The meeting time will remain 9 a.m. in the commissioners’ chambers at the Quay County Courthouse.
The Commission has also scheduled a budget hearing for 1:30 p.m. May 19, also at the commissioners’ chambers. The purpose of the session will be to review the proposed 2006-07 fiscal year budget.

Early/absentee voting ongoing
Absentee and early voting is taking place in the Quay County clerk’s office for the primary election and will continue through June 3. The office will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Voters who wish to vote early or absentee, but cannot come to the courthouse, may call the office at 461-0510 to request an absentee application to vote by mail.
