Ewel Gorham
Services: 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Logan Assembly of God Church.
Ewel Gorham, 82, died Saturday, May 13, 2006, in Amarillo, Texas.
Mr. Gorham was born Dec. 6, 1923, in Grenville. He resided in Fort Sumner, graduating from Fort Sumner High School.
Mr. Gorham had been a carpenter. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He had lived in Albuquerque for 39 years before moving to Logan.
Mr. Gorham is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Gorham of Logan; three daughters, Karen Elaine Murry of Hewitt, Texas, Joy Ewelene Gorham of Logan and Letha Jean James of Los Lunas; four sisters, Cletis Gromatsky of Los Lunas, Neva Henry of McPherson, Kan., Glenna Gorham of Liberal, Kan. and Esther Gunnels of San Antonio, Texas; a son, Wesley Dean Gorham of Albuquerque; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will follow in the family plot of the Logan Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Odyssey Health Care, 7201 Evans Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79106.

Albert Henry
Services: Have been held.
Albert G. Henry, 67, died Saturday, May 13, 2006, inTucumcari.
Mr. Henry was born Sept. 18, 1938, in Lakeview, Texas, to Mamie and James Henry.
He attended and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1956 and had lived in Logan the past 44 years. He served on the Logan Municipal School Board for 14 years both as a member and president of the school board.
He served on the Logan City Council for four years and was mayor of the Village of Logan for four years. He was active with the Logan Chamber of Commerce, serving as president for one term.
He was instrumental in the economic development of Ute Lake and retired from Ute Lake Estates, a family owned real estate development company. He also loved ranching and was an avid golfer.
Mr. Henry was preceded in death by his mother.
He is survived by his father; two daughters, Shelley (husband Larry) Wallin of Logan and Glena Lutton of Clovis; two grandsons, Cole Wallin of Logan and Cameron Stallings of Clovis; a brother, Elmo Henry of Chelan, Wash., and a friend, Yvonne Brazil of Tucumcari.
Cremation has taken place.
Family, close friends, and Mr. Henry’s golf friends served as honorary pallbearers.
