May 31, 2006 Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received by the Tucumcari Police Department in the last few days:

Sunday
• At 2:03 a.m., a female called in a fight at a hotel. Officers arrived and the people fighting were separated.
• At 2 p.m., a female called in a burglary at Chaparral Street. An officer advised that between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. an unknown person kicked the door in. Nothing appeared to be stolen.
• At 3:11 p.m., a male visited the police department and requested to speak to an officer in reference to a theft. The officer advised the man to file a written statement reporting that 150 adult videos were taken, valued at $20 each.
• At 6:25 p.m., a female reported unwanted subjects at McGee. The caller stated that two subjects threatened to slash and puncture a swimming pool. Officers advised the subjects not to return.
• At 7:46 p.m., a man reported a drug buy was taking place on Adams. Nothing was found.

Monday
• At 7:30 a.m., a male called in a breaking and entry at Tucumcari Boulevard. Officers stated that between midnight and 7 a.m., unknown subjects opened a window and gained access. Nothing was destroyed or appeared missing.
• At 4:04 p.m., a female reported a snake in her house at Dawson. Officers went to the location and removed the snake.
• At 8 p.m., a female reported an erratic driver on N.M. 54. The female stated that driver was passing on the right. Officers stopped the vehicle and the incident was turned over to the state police.
• At 9:08 p.m., a male reported a subject in the roadway at an interstate exit. Officer advised it was a subject sleeping and he was advised to move on.
• At 11:25 p.m., a female reported a fight with another female. The females were told by officers to stay away from each other.
