Helen Harlow

Services: 2:30 p.m. today at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.

Helen T. Harlow, 93, died May 2, 2006, at Laurel Skies Health Care in Qlbuquerque.

Mrs. Harlow was born Dec. 20, 1912 in Cheyenne County, Colo. She was a homemaker and an active member of Center Street United Methodist Church in Tucumcari.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Quintin Harlow and two sons, Charles Riley and Clarence Riley.

Mrs. Harlow is survived by three sons, Floyd Riley of Corona, Calif, Gilbert Riley of Mesa, Ariz. and Michael Riley of Las Vegas, Nev. and a brother, Carl Ambrosier of Colorado.

Tom Broom will officiate services.

Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.

Lena Hedrick

Services: 2 p.m. Friday at Frist Baptist Church.

Lena Adell Hedrick, 94, died Monday, June 5, 2006 in Tucumcari.

Mrs. Hedrick was born Aug. 29, 1911 near Childress, Texas. When she was 3 years old, she and her family moved to a farm near House and attended schools in Grandplains and House. She was a graduate of Canyon (Texas) High School and West Texas State Teacher College at Canyon. In 1935 she married Lloyd Hedrick and three years later they moved to Tucumcari. Mrs. Hedrick worked at the original First National Bank of Tucumcari for 30 years and retired in 1974. The bank voted her Retired Woman of the Year in that same year. An active member of First Baptist Church, she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school for 62 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Golbourne Hedrick; six brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Hedrick is survived by a friend, Sue Curry of Tucumcari, and many friends at the First Baptist Church.

David England will officiate services.

Burial will follow at the family plot in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.

Marye Bertram

Services: 10 a.m. today, Grady Baptist Church.

Marye Frances Bertram, 69, died Saturday, June 3, 2006 in Floresville, Texas.

Mrs. Bertram was born April 22, 1937 in Santa Fe to Paul and Inez Hopper.

Mrs. Bertram loved to embroider and cook, and cooked for Grady Schools long ago. Family members said she loved to drink tea or coffee and gossip with her close friends Mildred Mote and Jesse Whitehead.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bud Bertam and a daughter, Elaine Bertram.

Survivors include two sisters, Billie Coffee of Albuquerque and Margaret Shear of Moriarty; a brother, Jim Hopper of Moriarty; two daughters, Deborah A. (husband Jimmie) Jackson of Arlington, Texas and Kimberly D. Stevens of Floresville, Texas; three sons, Daniel E. (HeyYoung) Bertram of Kempner, Texas, David A. (T.J.) Bertram of Floresville, Texas and Timothy B. (Kyna) Bertram of Bulverde, Texas; five grandsons, Aaron (Samantha) Jackson, Johnny Stevens Jr., Nick Bertram, Thomas (Katie) Mitcham Jr. and David Mitcham; five granddaughters RaDonna, Rochelle (Carlos), Jessica, Morgan and Crystal (Mike) Elliott; three great-granddaughters, Hailey, Jeannette and Justine and three great-grandsons, Clayton, Taylor and Ethan.

Wayne Boydstun will officiate services.

Burial will follow at Grady Cemetery.

Donald Boydstun, Nick Bertram, Aaron Jackson, Johnny Stevens, Jess Whitehead, Daniel Bertram, David Bertram and Tim Bertram will serve as pallbearers.

Hobert Mote, Jerry Shear, D. H. Allen, Wesley Jones, Bill Jones and many friends and family will serve as honorary pallbearers.
