Today: 4-H Quay County Rodeo and 4-H State Horse Show. Horse show begins at 7 a.m. Events include show jumping, reining, barrels and poles. Gates open for rodeo at 3:30 p.m. Rodeo begins at 5 p.m.
Today: St. Anne’s Fiesta Car Show, 306 W. High St.. Free admission. 11 a.m.-3 p.m. For more information call 461-2515.
Today: Farmer’s Market at Wailes Park. 5 p.m.
Today-Sunday: Vic Breen Scholarship Partnership Shootout, Tucumcari Municipal Golf Course. Entries are closed but all are welcome to join for social membership and see the pairs complete their rounds.

Tuesday: Gov. Bill Richardson will be at a town meeting at the Tucumcari Convention Center, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Tuesday: Science Field Day, New Mexico State University Agricultural Science Center, presentations will include discussions by dairy specialists and climatologist. 5 p.m. gathering, dinner at 5:15 p.m., program begins at 5:45 p.m.
Wednesday: Science Fair by third through fifth graders from Mesalands Community College Success Center, College Building A, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Ongoing: Eastern Plains Head Start program accepts applications for enrollment in Head Start, a child development program for children ages 3 to 4. Educational activities, medical and dental care, nutritious meals and snacks, family assistance and special services for children with disabilities are provided at no charge to families. Applications for enrollment are available at 210 W. Center St. Call 461-1914 for information.
