8-05-2006 Police Blotter

The Following is a sample of calls received by the Tucumcari police during the last few days. According to the reports:

Tuesday

  • At 9:03 p.m., a male reported a male subject with a knife on Rankin Street. Officers advised that the subject lowered the knife and was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
  • Wednesday

  • At 8:42 a.m., a female reported a domestic disturbance on Second Street. Officers advised it was a verbal argument between a male and female subjects. Officers told the parties to stay away from each other for the night.
  • At 2:02 p.m., officers were requested for a transport of a prisoner from the Adult Probation Office. One subject was taken to the Quay County Detention Center.
  • At 3:29 p.m., a male reported a trespasser at a closed business on Tucumcari Boulevard. Officers advised that they made contact with the male who was a transient and told him to leave and not return.
  • At 7:27 p.m., officers served multiple warrants to a subject on Barnes Street. One male was arrested for the following charges: Failure to appear twice in Municipal Court and failure to appear two times in Magistrate Court of Tucumcari.
  • At 11:15 p.m., an officer served multiple warrants on West Tucumcari Boulevard. A female subject was arrested for three counts of contempt of court out of the Tucumcari Municipal Court.
  • Thursday

  • At 12:16 p.m., a female flagged down an officer on Rock Island. The female subject told the officer that a domestic disturbance had occurred at her residence on South Rock Island Street. The officer advised that a window had been broken at the residence and the subject was taken to another location for the night.
  • At 12:23 p.m., a male reported a case of forgery at a local bank on First Street. Officers advised that they spoke with the subject and later the male subject was arrested for forgery.
  • At 2:40 p.m., officers arrested two men at an area lake for the following charges, interference with an officer and false reporting to an officer.
  • At 4:44 p.m., an adult probation office requested an officer to transport a prisoner from their office on North First Street. The officer advised he would be transporting one prison to the Quay County Detention Center.
  • At 8:46 p.m., a female reported a domestic disturbance on East Turner. Officers advised that it was a verbal argument between a male and female subjects. Officers advised that went to the location and told the couple to separate for the night.
  • At 8:48 p.m., officers issued citations to two female subjects and one male subject at the baseball field for the following charge, drinking in public.
  • Friday

  • At 6:45 a.m., a female reported an inebriated male at an area business on Estrella Street. Officers advised that they made contact with the male subject at that location and they gave him a ride to his home.
  • At 8:54 a.m., an adult probation officer requested an officer to transport a prisoner. Officers advised they would be transporting one prisoner to the Quay County Detention Center.
