county department chiefs and elected officials to discuss the transition
of leadership from the late Terry Turner to the hiring of a new county
manager, Quay County Courthouse.

Friday: 11:30 a.m., meeting of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Mayor Mary Mayfield will proclaim Constitution Week 2006 and there will be
a presentation on the flag by a representative of the Veterans of Foreign
Wars.

will be open for high school and middle school students to use computers.

Ongoing: Eastern Plains Head Start program accepts applications for
enrollment in Head Start, a child development program for children ages 3
to 4. Educational activities, medical and dental care, nutritious meals
and snacks, family assistance and special services for children with
disabilities are provided at no charge to families. Applications for
