Oct. 12: Lt. Governor Diane Denish will be in Tucumcari to visit with area businesses and to discuss aspects of the city’s proposal to be designateda MainStreet project.

Ongoing: Eastern Plains Head Start program accepts applications for enrollment in Head Start, a child development program for children ages 3 to 4. Educational activities, medical and dental care, nutritious meals and snacks, family assistance and special services for children with disabilities are provided at no charge to families. Applications for enrollment are available at 210 W. Center St. Call 461-1914 for information.
