Richard Lon Bull
Services: 2 p.m., Monday at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa,Texas. A local memorial service will be at 6 p.m. on Friday at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Tucumcari.
Richard Lon Bull, 61, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, in Lewisville, Texas.
Mr. Bull was born in Oklahoma City on Nov. 20, 1945. He was reared in Lefors, Texas, and graduated from Lefors High School. He also was a graduate of Sul Ross University in Alpine, Texas.
Mr. Bull lived and worked in Tucumcari since 1982. He served as the district conservationist at the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation office. He had worked for the USDA for 37 years. Mr. Bull had also pastored at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Tucumcari.
He is survived a son, Garry (Briana) Bull of Tulsa, Okla.; and two daughters, Bethany Bull and Rebekah (Eric) Jimenez, both of Lewisville, Texas; grandchildren Lorelai Bull and Abigaile Jimenez and a cousin, Jo (Skip) Klingman of Weatherford, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, R.V. and Fern Bull.
Bob Miller, pastor of the South Georgia Baptist Church of Amarillo, Texas, will preside at the graveside services.
Grover Garrett, associate pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Tucumcari, will preside at the memorial service in Tucumcari.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church in Tucumcari.
Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.

Alfonso Hernandez, 79, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, at Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital in Tucumcari.
Mr. Hernandez was born on Oct. 26, 1927 to Leopaldo and Francisca Hernandez in Rincon.
He was a long time resident of Otero and Dona Ana counties until he moved to Tucumcari seven years ago. Mr. Hernandez was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Tucumcari and a life-time member of VFW Chapter 14000 in Las Cruces.
Mr. Hernandez is survived by a daughter, Margaret (Ramon) Aragon of Tucumcari; a son, Ernest (Marilu) Hernandez of Las Cruces; four grandsons, Jose (Frances) Aragon, Ernest (Jessica) Hernandez of Albuquerque, Ramon (Lila) Aragon of Tucumcari and Orlando Hernandez of Las Cruces; two granddaughters, Amy (Steve) Gutierrez and Isabel (Richard) Jones, both of Tucumcari; 13 great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Otila R. Hernandez in 1976, his second wife, Inez M. Hernandez in 1998 and a great great-granddaughter, Erika Marie Aragon, in 1999.

Pearl Oda Wilms Crews
Services: 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the Hudson Cemetery, about 12 miles east of Tucumcari on U.S. Highway 54.
Pearl Oda Wilms Crews, 88, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006, in Amarillo, Texas, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Crews was born June 14, 1918 at Hudson, between Tucumcari and Logan. She taught school at House and Logan for many years. She loved cooking and sewing and was an excellent seamstress.
Surviving Mrs. Crews are her daughter, Shirly Whitecotton of Amarillo, a grandcaughter, Michelle Whitecotton of Fort Worth, Texas, and a niece, Corrine Yohn of Tucumcari. Also surviving are four nephews, Charles Moore of Farmington, Bronson and Duane Moore of Tucumcari and Ed Stroud of Colorado Springs, Colo. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Leonard Crews, and her sisters, Lela Moore, Stella Stroud, Mary Wilms, Lula Mae Wilms, and a brother, R. L. Wilms.
The family suggests for those who wish, donations may be made to your favorite charity in memory of Pearl Wilms Crews.
