Year-end service set for Sunday

The 12th Annual End of Year Community Church Service will be at 10:30 a.m., on Sunday at the Tucumcari Convention Center.

The program was started 12 years ago, by a former pastor of First Baptist Church, Bob Miller, said Jim Witcher, pastor of First Christian Church, whose church participates in the service.

Why gather together?

“This is the time of the year when many of us come together in one place to worship together, to show the world that we are all worshipping the same Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” Witcher said.

Participants include First Baptist, Trinity Baptist, First Assembly of God, St. Michael’s Episcopal and Center Street United Methodist churches.

Each of the churches will be contributing to a part of the service, Witcher said.

All are invited to attend; and you don’t have to be a member of one of the participating churches to attend, Witcher said.
