Phil Bidegain named ‘Cattleman of the year’
Phil H. Bidegain of the T4 Ranch was awarded the 2006 “Cattleman of the Year” award by the New Mexico Cattle Growers’ Association at the recent Joint Stockman’s Convention, according to a release from NMCGA.

The award recognizes an NMCGA member who has demonstrated outstanding leadership over time.

“Phil has served on numerous NMCGA committees over the years, has been a member of the Board of the Directors, is a past president and currently serving as chairman of the Nomination and Litigation Committees,” said Bill Sauble, president of the NMCGA, in the release.

“Cattle Growers know Phil best for his lobbying and negotiation skills. He is well known in both Santa Fe and Washington, D.C., always working hard for everyone who ranches, their families and communities … and always represents the industry well and efficiently.”

Bidegain was a member of the University of Arizona rodeo team during his college years and is a founding member of the new Mexico Rodeo Association.
