Albert R. Jason Pacheco

Services: 7 p.m., today a rosary service will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Tucumcari. At 10 a.m. on Tuesday, a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Church. Burial will follow at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.

Albert R. Jason Pacheco, 31, died Feb. 1, 2007 in Tucumcari.

Mr. Pacheco was born Aug. 28, 1975 in Tucumcari to Albert and Christina Borquez Pacheco. He was reared and attended schools in Tucumcari where he excelled in all sports. He graduated from Tucumari High School in 1994.

Jason loved the outdoors and all that goes with it. He enjoyed hunting, camping, hiking, he loved all sports, cage fighting and riding his Big Dog Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

He worked with his father in the family business of Pacheco Construction from using a shovel to working with heavy equipment.

Mr. Pacheco married Melisa Mercado on Jan. 26, 2002 in Tucumcari. Jason was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandson and friend and he will be truly be missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Victor Pacheco.

Survivors include: his wife Melisa of Tucumcari; his daughter, Shianne of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his son A.J. of Tucumcari; his parents Albert and Christina Pacheco; a sister Shirley Pacheco; a brother Josh (Veronica) Pacheco; and a nephew Dezman Pacheco, all of Tucumcari. Also surviving are: his maternal grandparents Raymond and Lena Borquez; paternal grandmother Filomena Pacheco, all of Tucumcari; father-in-law Saul Mercado and sister-in-law Michele Mercado, both of Riverside, Calif.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and relatives and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Pete Borquez, Rodney Borquez, Jonathan Pacheco, Ruben Diaz, Andrew Pacheco and Jake Jimenez. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jeffery Pacheco, Matthew Callahan, Ralph Arias, Jr., Matthew Montoya, Ed Shipley and Mike Rivera.

Leo Padget will officiate at the services. Following the mass burial will be at Tucumcari Memorial Park.
