Tommie Storrie Strain, 87, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, at Fort Hamilton Hospital at Hamilton, Ohio.
Mrs. Strain was born June 28, 1919 in Tucumcari to Thomas and Ola Christian. She had been a lifetime resident of Tucumcari before moving about 10 years ago to Clovis for health reasons. About five years ago she moved to Ohio to be near her son Thomas Storrie. While in Tucumcari she was an active member of the First Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Strain are three sons, Bryce (Nancy) Storrie of Albuquerque, Thomas (Kathryn) Storrie of Hamilton Ohio, and Robert Storrie; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bessie Sewell and Sarah Jameson, both of Albuquerque; stepchildren Ken Strain and Jane Potter, both of Phoenix. Ariz., Ted Strain of Dallas, Texas, and Phylis Bolsinger of Portland, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bryce L. Storrie; her second husband Charles Strain; a son, James Kirk Storrie; a brother, Alonzo Christian; a sister, Jessie Christen and a grandson, Byron Storrie.
David England, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Tucumcari, will officiate services.
Burial will follow at the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
