Services: 2 p.m. Thursday at the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pauline Surguy Brady, 88, died Sunday, March 18, 2007, following
an extended illness in The Grace Living Center, Tulsa, Okla. She had been
living with her son since October in Broken Arrow, Okla.
Mrs. Brady was born July 24, 1918 in Tucumcari. She attended and graduated
from the Tucumcari School System in 1936. She had been an active member of the
First Baptist Church in Tucumcari. Later while living in Lake Colorado City,
Texas, for 16 years, she was a member of the Dorn Methodist Church.
For many years she had been a landlord, in charge of numerous rental properties around the Tucumcari area. She had been a member of the Tucumcari Garden Club. She married T. L. (Peaches) Brady in 1937.
Surviving Mrs. Brady are two sons, John (Marti) Brady of Galesburg, Texas,
and Jack (Laura) Brady of Broken Arrow, her daughter Pollyanne (Dewaynee)
Mobley of Tucumcari, and a sister, Pearl Stinson Baker of of Houston. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, by her father and mother, by a brother, Johnny Surguy, by a sister, Ann Schoenburg, a son in law, Derrial Collins ,and by a granddaughter, Jean Brady.
Jim Witcher and Gay Wellborn will officiate at the services.
Pall bearers will be Scott Brady, Phillip Brady, Chuck Marquez,
Stephen Brady, RyanBrady, Jim Byars and Mike Williams.
Burial will be in the family plot of the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family suggests, for those who wish, donations may be made to the Tucumcari Helping Hands Hospice or to the American Cancer Society in memory of Pauline Brady.
