Services: 10 a.m., today a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Catholic Church.
Jose Enriquez Quintana, 60, died Monday, March 26, 2007, at a Farmington hospital following an illness. Mr. Quintana was born May 25, 1946 in Tucumcari to Antonio and Mary Romero Quintana. He worked construction for many years and he served in the U.S. Army from 1966 through 1969. Mr. Quintana married Patsy Blea on Jan. 16, 1971. They made their home in Farmington in 2002.
He loved fishing and traveling. He was a member of the D.A.V. and the Order of the Purple Heart.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother; Roland Quintana and his nephew; Augie Montiel.
Survivors include his wife Patsy of Farmington, his daughters, Conchita (Britt) Chesnut, Perlita (Antonio) Aragon, Esperanza (Joe) Pino,and grandchildren; Zachary, Colton Chesnut, Julia, Antonio and Jose Aragon all of Farmington.
Also surviving are his brothers and sisters; Tony Quintana of Santa Rosa, David Quintana of Tucumcari, Johnny Quintana and Raymond Quintana both of Amarillo, Benjie Quintana of Los Lunas, Sloisa Latham of Tucumcari, Stella Chavez of Grants, Gina Alderete of Tucumcari, Rosie Sanchez of Tucumcari, Viola Martinez of Los Lunas and Angela Quintana of Tucumcari, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Leo Padget with officiate at the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Britt Chesnut, Antonio Aragon, Joe Pino, Johnny Blea, Jr., Julian Blea and Phillip Latham, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Burial will follow at Tucumcari Memorial Park.
