Free conference offers help for caregivers
The Non-Metro Area Agency on Aging is hosting a “Giving Care to Caregiver’s” Conference in Albuquerque on May 1-2.
This is a free conference for full-time and part-time caregivers where they can learn about additional resources and have a little time to re-charge.
Keynote speakers are coming from Texas to share how to take better care of caregivers. Workshop topics include: When is it time to stop driving?; Resources available to caregivers; Legal and financial issues; How to deal with disruptive behaviors; grandparents raising grandchildren; medication management; and other topics.

Free hospitality training on May 4
A special “Catch our Enchanted Spirit” hospitality training will be held for high school- and college-aged young adults. This workshop offers tips for dealing with difficult customers and providing good customer service.
After attending this workshop, young adults will know how to make their jobs more enjoyable and easier which may even result in increased tips. It is free and open to anyone who works in a service business.
