Open Meetings Act and public records workshop by attorney general, Altrusa installation

Open Meetings Act Workshop set for June 1
A workshop on the Open Meetings Act and the Inspection of Public Records will be conducted by the New Mexico Attorney General’s office on June 1 in Tucumcari, according to a press release from Attorney General Gary King.
Attorneys from the Civil Division staff, in conjunction with the New Mexico Foundation for Open Government, will host the workshop, which is designed to provide assistance to local governments, members of public boards and commissions and the general public in understanding our open government laws, the release said.
The public is also invited to attend.
Municipal officials from the counties of Curry, DeBaca, Guadalupe, Harding, Roosevelt, San Miguel and Union are encouraged to attend this workshop. Materials on New Mexico’s Sunshine Laws will be available, according to the press release.
The workshop will be from 9 a.m. to noon at Fort Bascom Room Exhibit Hall, Tucumcari Convention Center, 1500 W. Tucumcari Blvd.

Altrusa to install officers on Thursday
