05-19-2007: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports:

Tuesday
l  At 12:46 p.m., an officer reported possible narcotics at an apartment residence on South Seventh Street. The officer cited a male and female subject for possession of drug paraphernalia.
l At 6:47 p.m., an alarm was reported on East Aber Street. An officer advised that the building was secure and all was OK.
l  At 7:05 p.m., a male reported a theft at an RV park on East Rankin Street. An officer advised that a cooler, thermos and a sledge hammer had been stolen.

Wednesday
l  At 8:16 a.m., a female reported a wanted subject at the DWI office on South Third Street. One female subject was arrested for an outstanding district warrant and was taken to the Quay County Detention Center.
l  At 8:42 a.m., a female reported a wanted subject at the DWI office on South Third. One male subject was arrested for a Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear and failure to comply with conditions of release.

Thursday
l  At 12:38 p.m., a female reported a fight at a residence on South Monroe Street. An officer made contact with the residents and one male subject was arrested for resisting arrest.
l  At 2:16 p.m., a female reported an unwanted subject at an apartment on South Seventh Street. An officer was told that a male subject would not leave the area when asked. The officer made contact with the subject and advised him to leave.
l  At 8:11 p.m., a male reported a domestic dispute at a motel on East Tucumcari Boulevard. One male subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center for the charge of abuse of a child and battery against a household member.
l  At 10:30 p.m., a female reported loud music at a residence on East Rankin Street. An officer made contact with the residents and advised them to turn down the music.
l  At 10:45 p.m., a female reported a prowler at her residence on East Walnut.
An officer was told that someone was knocking on the back door and leaving. The officer checked the area and all was OK.

Friday
l  At 3:43 a.m., a female reported a domestic dispute on South Rock Island Street. An officer advised that it was a verbal argument only and all was OK.
