The following is a sample of calls received by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department, during the last few days. According to reports:
l At 8:32 a.m., a male reported vandalism on South Second Street. An officer advised that two tires on a vehicle had been slashed.
l At 11:41 p.m., a female reported a prowler outside of her residence on East Center Street. An officer advised that there was no one around the residence and all was OK.
l At 1:31 a.m., a male reported a possible prowler on South Jackson Street. An officer was told that someone was trying to get into the residence. The officer advised there was no one in the area and all was OK.
l At 8:39 a.m., an alarm was reported at a retail store on West Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer advised that the front door was unlocked. The officer checked the building and advised all was secure. The manager was contacted and they reset the alarm.
l At 10:46 a.m., a female reported a stabbing at the emergency room. An officer was told that the female’s boyfriend had been stabbed. The officer advised that the crime happened outside their jurisdiction and the State Police were contacted.
lAt 9:35 p.m., an alarm was reported at a wind ranch on Highway 469. A deputy reported that the surveillance equipment had been stolen. An investigation is underway.
l At 2:03 p.m., a male reported harassment at his residence on East Main. An officer was told that the land lord to the property was harassing the male subject to leave. The officer spoke with the land lord and advised him that the tenant had 10 days left and to leave him alone for that time.
l At 4:47 p.m., a male reported a burglary on South First Street. An officer was told that a phone card machine had been broken into. An investigation is underway.
l At 4:57 a.m., an attempted burglary was reported on Railroad Avenue. An officer advised that screws from a door had been removed but no entry was made.
l At 11:32 a.m., a female reported a domestic dispute on East Turner Street. An officer advised that it was a verbal argument between and male and female and the problem had been resolved.
l At 8:32 p.m., a male reported loud music coming from a residence on South Fourth Street. An officer made contact with the residents and advised them to turn the music down.
l At 10:26 p.m., an anonymous caller reported a suspicious noise on South Second Street. An officer advised that all was OK that a resident was working on his trailer.
l At 9:16 a.m., a male reported a fight at a residence on South Dawson Street. An officer advised that it was a fight between two male subjects and an investigation is under way.
