06-27-2007: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department, during the last few days. According to reports:

Friday
l At 3:34 p.m., a male reported a domestic dispute at a residence on South Third Street. An officer advised that one male subject was placed into protective custody and taken to the Quay County Detention Center.
l At 7:39 p.m., an officer requested a warrant check on a male subject on South Rock Island Street. The officer was told by dispatch that the male subject had an outstanding magistrate warrant. The male subject was taken to the Quay County Detention Center.
l At 11:31 p.m., a male subject reported a fight at a lounge on West Route 66. An officer advised that the fight had broken up and the parties left prior to their arrival.

Saturday
l At 9:51 p.m., a male reported an attempted burglary at a residence on South First Street. An officer advised that no entry was made into the residence but there was damage done to the property. An investigation is under way.

Sunday
l At 3:16 p.m., a female reported a fire alarm at the middle school on South Sixth Street. An officer advised that there was no fire and the alarm was reset.
l At 5:10 p.m., an officer conducted a routine traffic stop on West 540 Loop in Logan. One male subject was arrested for an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.
l At 9:30 p.m., a male reported a domestic dispute at a hotel on West Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer advised that a female subject was taken to a different location for the night and will contact the agency for prevention of domestic violence to fill out paper work in the morning.

Monday
l At 8:49 a.m., a female reported a domestic dispute at a residence on South Adams Street. An officer advised that it was a verbal argument only and while investigating found marijuana seeds and stems on the kitchen table. A male and female subject were cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
l At 4:40 p.m., a male reported a theft on East Smith Street. An officer was told that a digital DVD camcorder was taken from the residence. An investigation is under way.
l At 5:43 p.m., a male reported a possible suicidal subject at a residence on South Rock Island Street. An officer advised that one male subject was placed into protective custody and taken to the Quay County Detention Center.

Tuesday
l At 1:21 a.m., a female reported loud music on East Turner Street. An officer made contact with the resident of the home and advised them to turn the music down for the night.
l At 8 a.m., a male reported a theft at a motel on South First Street. An officer was told that a digital camera was stolen from the male subject’s luggage while he went to the front desk. An officer advised that the camera was recovered and returned to the owner.
